Privacy Policy

What this covers
This policy describes how Austin Sizemore Companies (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information on austinsizemore.com and in the email and text messages that follow from it. It applies to this site only. The consumer real estate experience linked from this site lives on a separate domain with its own policies, and Keller Williams Realty Metro Atlanta keeps its own.
By using the site, submitting a form, or buying from the shop, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Information you give us
Inquiries and applications. When you submit a form — a recruiting conversation, the advisory application, a job application, the Partnered Network waitlist — we collect what you type: your name, email address, phone number, market or business, the message you write, and the role or interest you select. A job application also collects your résumé, your location, a link you choose to share, how you heard about us, your answers to the role's questions, and a cover letter.
Voluntary self-identification. Job applications include an optional equal-opportunity self-identification block (gender, race or ethnicity, veteran status, disability status). Answering is voluntary, declining has no effect on your application, and the answers travel only in the application email — they are kept apart from the ledger record and are not used in hiring decisions.
Newsletter and Field Guide requests: your email address, and your name if you give it.
Purchases from the shop: what you bought, what you paid, and the email address and name you gave at checkout. Details are in “Purchases and payment” below.
Alongside every submission we record standard context: the page you submitted from, the referring site, campaign parameters in the link you arrived on, your browser's user-agent string, the time, and the version of the consent language you agreed to. That record is how we know which conversation you are starting and how we prove what you opted into.
Information collected automatically
Analytics. We measure aggregate, privacy-respecting usage — page views, referrers, general performance — through a cookieless analytics service. It does not build a profile of you, and we do not use cross-site tracking cookies or sell advertising. We may share aggregate, de-identified statistics — how many people read an essay, say — that identify no one.
Hosting logs. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs (network address, request, time) to run and secure the site, as every host does.
Download log. Each time a shop download link is used, we record the time and the network address it was used from against the purchase. It is an audit trail so we can help if a link is misused; it does not decide whether you may download.
How we use it
To respond to you and route your inquiry to the right conversation — recruiting, careers, advisory, or the Partnered Network waitlist. To consider your job application. To send the newsletter or Field Guide you asked for. To deliver, and re-deliver, anything you buy from the shop. To keep accurate business records, including proof of the consent you gave. To secure the site and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use it for targeted advertising.
Text messaging (SMS) terms
What you are agreeing to. When you give us your mobile number on a form that has a consent checkbox and check the box, you give Austin Sizemore Companies your prior express written consent to send text messages (SMS and MMS) and to place calls to that number about your inquiry — including through an automatic telephone dialing system and prerecorded or artificial-voice messages. We do not run a keyword or short-code program; the form is the opt-in, and the ledger record of your submission is the proof of it.
What you will receive. Conversational messages that relate to what you asked about: replies to your inquiry, scheduling, follow-up on an application, and information you requested. Message frequency varies.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. Your consent is not required to purchase or receive any property, goods, or services from us, and you can do business with us without agreeing to receive texts.
What it costs. We never charge you for text messages. Standard message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from us and from you to us, depending on your carrier and plan. Questions about your plan go to your wireless provider.
How to opt out. Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further texts will be sent to that number unless you opt in again. If you want to hear from us by text later, submit a form again with the box checked. Opting out of texts does not affect other communications you have requested.
How to get help. Reply HELP to any message, or email austin@austinsizemore.com.
Carriers and delivery. Your carrier may prohibit or restrict certain mobile features, and some features may be incompatible with your carrier or device; contact your carrier with questions. Neither we nor the carriers are liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messaging is provided as-is, and delivery depends on your mobile service operator.
Availability. The text program is intended for United States mobile numbers. Messages to numbers outside the United States may not be delivered.
What we record. Data obtained in connection with the text program may include your mobile number, your carrier's name, the date, time, and content of messages, and the consent language you agreed to, its version, the page you agreed on, and the time. We use it to contact you, to provide what you asked for, and to prove consent. We honor revocations promptly.
Your mobile information is not shared. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, other than the service providers that deliver messages on our behalf, and they may use it only for that.
Changes to the program. We may change or end the text program at any time, with or without notice. Ending it never takes away your right to opt out of anything still running.
Email consent
When you subscribe to the Field Notes newsletter, request a free Field Guide, or join the Partnered Network waitlist, you consent to receive those emails from Austin Sizemore Companies. When you submit a conversation form, you consent to email replies about your inquiry. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and we honor it.
Transactional email — a download link, a re-delivery, a reply to something you asked — is not marketing and does not carry an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing never stops you receiving something you bought or asked for.
You can revoke any consent at any time: reply STOP to a text, use an unsubscribe link, or email austin@austinsizemore.com and tell us how you prefer to be contacted, including not at all.
Purchases and payment
Payment is processed by Stripe. When you buy from the shop, you are sent to a checkout page hosted by Stripe, and that is where you enter your card. Your card number and card details never touch our servers — we never see them, and we never store them. Stripe's checkout page is on Stripe's own domain and is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
What we keep is a purchase record: the product, the amount and currency, the email address and name you gave at checkout, Stripe's identifiers for the session and payment (so we can find the transaction in Stripe if you ask), the page you bought from and any campaign parameters, whether you ticked the marketing box, the version of the consent language you agreed to, and the download log described above.
We keep the purchase record for as long as we support re-delivery of the product, and after that for as long as our business and accounting records require. You can ask us to delete it by emailing austin@austinsizemore.com. Stripe keeps its own record of the transaction under its own policy.
Marketing consent at checkout is separate from the purchase. Stripe's checkout page shows a box you can tick to receive marketing email from Austin Sizemore Companies. If you tick it, you are added to the Field Notes list as a customer. If you leave it unticked, your address is recorded in our email platform as a customer who did not opt in, so that we can still send you your download and any re-delivery you ask for, and so that no marketing send ever reaches you. Buying something is not, by itself, consent to receive marketing.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and newsletter signups: for as long as they are useful for the purpose you sent them, and in any case for as long as we need to prove what you consented to.
Job applications: for the life of the search and a reasonable period afterward, so we can come back to you if a role opens, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Purchases: as set out in “Purchases and payment.”
When a record is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
How we protect it
Every form on this site submits to our own servers over an encrypted connection, and all processing happens server-side — no third-party credentials or endpoints are exposed in the browser. Purchase records and product files sit behind access controls, and product files are served only through short-lived signed links. Our providers hold their own certifications and controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not promise otherwise; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your rights and choices
Anyone. You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can withdraw any consent. Email austin@austinsizemore.com; we will verify it is you and respond within thirty days. We will not treat you differently for exercising a right.
California residents. The California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we share it with; the right to delete; the right to correct; the right to opt out of sale or sharing; the right to limit use of sensitive personal information; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we do not use sensitive personal information for anything beyond the purpose you gave it for. The categories we collect are: identifiers (name, email, phone, network address); professional information (market, business, role, résumé); commercial information (purchases); internet activity (aggregate analytics, download log); and, where you choose to give it, the voluntary self-identification described above. To exercise a right, or to have an authorized agent do so, email austin@austinsizemore.com.
Other US states. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and the same email works. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.
Canada. We sell to buyers in Canada, and this policy is our statement of how we handle your information. You may request access to it and challenge its accuracy by emailing us.
Outside North America. The site is operated in the United States, and information is processed and stored there. It is not directed at residents of the European Union or United Kingdom.
Children
This site is directed at working professionals and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn we have, we delete it.
Links to other sites
The site links to third-party sites and profiles. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update is posted here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email where we have one.
